
APPLY FOR ORDINARY CHINA VISAS
The Consulate General of China in Los Angeles officially launch the China Online Visa Application on September 30, 2025. We help to submit applications through the new platform.
Step 1: We help compete application, upload documents online and submit for initial review.
Step 2: We hlep in periodically to check the status of application, if need provide supplimentary materials, will hlep upload additional documents or amend information as required.
Step 3: Submit materials in person to China consulate in Los Angeles. Once status changed to "Passport to be submitted" , we will deliver required documents by consulate in person.
Step 4: When the status changes to "Passport to be collected", we will go in person to pick up the passport.

--- Fingerprints are not required for visa applications.

Includes above 4 steps, visa photos, consulate visa fee, and preparation of all required supporting documents.
Required Documents

A valid passport with more than one year remaining
(Passports with only 6 months validity will only receive a 6-month double-entry visa.) -
Most recent Chinese passport
(If expired or lost, we will assist in preparing a statement and notarization depending on the situation.) -
Old Chinese visa (If lost, assistance will be provided to prepare a statement.)

Copy of naturalization certificate / date to be naturalized

Name change documents if the name on the new and old passports is different
(e.g., marriage certificate, county name-change document) -
Visa categories:

Q2 Visa – Family Visit: Copy of the relative’s Chinese ID (front and back) and contact number in China

M Visa – Business: Invitation letter from the company in China

L Visa – Tourism: No hotel and flight information needed
(These are common visa types. For other visa categories, please refer to the Consulate’s website for required documents.)

Proof of legal status in the U.S.: Copy of Green Card, work visa, F-1 visa, etc.

Chinese ID number is required
(It can be found on an old Chinese passport or household registration book.
For children without a Chinese ID card, a number was assigned at the time of household registration.) -
For applicants under 18:
Copies of parents’ current passports/Green Cards and copy of the child's birth certificate -
If the parents’ names on the child’s birth certificate do not match their current passports, name-change documents are required

For first-time applicants under 18:
If both parents already had Green Cards or U.S. citizenship at the time of the child’s birth, the child is still eligible for a visa.
Copies of parents’ passports/Green Cards at the time of birth are required. -
Visa photos (Bravo provide photo service for free)
